Ming hui Lai, L.AC, M.D.(China)

Dr. Lai earned his M.D. Degree from Tianjin Medical University, China. After completing his training, he practiced as a medical doctor in Taiwan.

Dr. Lai has a first hand experience with Chinese Medicine early-on since his grandfather was a well-known Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor in Taiwan. Dr. Lai believes that to combine with Western and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments will provide a better care to patients.

Dr. Lai came to the U.S. and earned his Master’s Degree of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Texas Health and Science University (formerly known as Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine) about 20 years ago and is a National Board certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist.

Dr. Lai is also proficient in scalp acupuncture, achieving remarkable clinical outcomes. Scalp acupuncture involves stimulating specific acupuncture points on the scalp to activate reflex areas of the cerebral cortex, directly enhancing brain function and the central nervous system. This technique has shown exceptional efficacy in addressing various conditions such as cerebrovascular diseases, post-stroke sequelae, hemiplegia, headaches, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease.

With a history spanning thousands of years, scalp acupuncture is a traditional medical practice. Dr. Lai, through in-depth research, has amalgamated it with modern medicine, offering a unique and effective treatment approach. His thorough understanding of the body’s acupoint distribution and nervous system operation enables precise identification of the points requiring stimulation, thereby regulating brain function.

The efficacy of this treatment method has been robustly validated in clinical settings. For cerebrovascular diseases, scalp acupuncture promotes blood circulation, ameliorating localized ischemia and reducing neural damage. In cases of post-stroke sequelae and hemiplegia, scalp acupuncture facilitates nerve repair and regeneration, enhancing patients’ motor function and quality of life.

Moreover, scalp acupuncture has demonstrated impressive results in alleviating headaches, ameliorating dementia symptoms, and aiding Parkinson’s disease management. This non-invasive approach reduces the side effects associated with pharmaceutical interventions while addressing underlying causes for sustained, stable effects.

In conclusion, Dr. Lai’s mastery of scalp acupuncture has brought solace to numerous patients grappling with cerebrovascular and neurological ailments. By merging ancient practices with modern medicine, he has showcased exceptional therapeutic outcomes, making him a revered and relied-upon medical expert among countless patients.
